Kolukkumalai Guest House Situated in one of the highest tea estates in the world this 3 room guesthouse is in a restored workers lines in the heart of the estate. A great way to experience life on a working tea plantation. Little has changed here since the estates were started during the British period. Access to the estate is only by jeeps as the drive is mostly on estate roads. This can either be the starting point or the end of the trekking route. There are some lovely day walks possible including the Meeshapulimala, one the highest peaks in South India. Accommodation will be comfortable rooms with en-suite facilities and will have the services of a full time cook and help. The views of the surrounding hills from the bungalow and the view of the hills at sunrise are stunning.
